The Continuum of Brain Performance
Historically, eye assessments have always utilized static fixation to measure vision quality. However, when the outside world begins to move, and our eyes have to move to orient ourselves to these movements, the brain takes over using a complex system of neural networks which initiate synchronization in order to respond to visual cues present in the outside world.
In the absence of impairment, these eye movements can be serially measured to provide insights around the status of the function of the brain in real time. By doing so, individuals can identify when the performance of the brain is optimized, or being negatively impacted by lifestyle choices which can delay recovery and increase risk.
